The Best Face Masks You Should Be Using

Face masks have become extremely popular recently, and we don’t mean the face coverings for Covid. Sheet masks, mud masks, and collagen masks—all help beautify our skin and give us the ultimate luxury experience without excessive costs. But which face masks are the best to use, and why?

The Clay (Mud) Mask

These masks, as the name implies, usually will contain some sort of beneficial clay or mud. The most common are kaolin and bentonite. These masks have somewhat medicinal properties and are great for clearing toxins from your skin and leaving your skin very smooth. Some of these may dry out your face, however, so if you are prone to dry skin, be sure to research brands before applying.

The Sheet Mask

The sheet mask is very popular due to the many choices in these masks. The biggest reason for their popularity is that, almost like a mask sheet factory (known as โรงงานรับผลิตเครื่องสําอาง in Thai), they can appeal to literally types of skin. If you have oily, acne-prone, or even dry skin, rest assured there is a sheet mask for you. There are also masks for other body parts such as your eyes, lips, or nose. Sheet masks are great for the price and can be a fun thing to do with a group of friends.

Cream Masks

Cream masks are usually best for dry skin as they provide a lot of moisture. Rich, smooth, and creamy, this luxurious mask is also great for spot treatment if you only need it in certain areas.

Charcoal Masks

Charcoal is an interesting type because it is used in a variety of masks—mud, cream, and sheet mask alike—but the biggest ingredient will be activated charcoal. These are wonderful masks for those with acne-prone or oily skin, as they can help purify or detoxify.

Peel-Off Masks

These masks are, like most, very good for acne. Peel-off masks can act as a sort of exfoliant, and indeed some of them might even feel like a facial when you pull them off! This can help stimulate your skin and while it may feel funny, it really does help to clarify your skin and reduce acne breakouts.

Before trying a mask for the first time, the best thing to do is try the mask on a small part of your face or skin first, just to be sure there will be no negative reactions. When used correctly, face masks can help your face and mood truly shine.
